Our day started at 7am when I got up to do a mad clean before Timi and Cory brought Jace by for the day. I did the dishes and cleaned my floors before Hayden woke up and he was very excited to learn that his friend would be over soon. After a yummy breakfast consisting of blueberry muffins and bananas we departed on our adventure. First we had to make a pit stop at the grocery store, but then we were off to the zoo! It took us awhile to actually get to the ‘good stuff’ because Hayden seems to have a fascination with ducks. We trekked all the way to the zoo to sit and watch ducks for a good 10 minutes. Doesn’t he know that there are lions and tigers there??? Silly boy! But it was quite enjoyable to watch him get so excited and run around saying ‘quack quack’ over and over! The boys LOVED the reptile exhibit, one that I wish would vanish into thin air. The thought of a 400 pound snake kind of gives me the creeps! We went on to see the elephants, one of which was slinging mud on himself and making quite a mess! I just hope Hayden didn’t get any ideas! We were there for a little more than two hours before the boys were exhausted. I can’t blame them, I was exhausted as well!
Then at about 6:30 we went to The Cheesecake Factory and had a family dinner. There were 10 of us, so it was chaotic…but very nice to be with everyone. The food was great and the company even better! It’s a shame we can’t do that more often.
I would post an overload of pictures, but I cannot find my camera’s charger and the battery is dead! I’ll see what I can do about that and will hopefully have some fun pictures for y’all in the near future.

Oh, we want to go to the zoo with you! How I miss those days! Give Hayden a kiss for me and squeeze that 400 lb snake next time you go. (You know he'd like it.)
The zoo is so much fun, especially with kids at that age. We took Dillon to the zoo here in Denver and he loved watching the Polar Bears swimming! It's great!
