Florida has a wonderful program called VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) which is funded by the state. Since there aren't enough spots available in the public schools, they allow private schools to offer VPK.
The school we chose is at a local Baptist church and five other children from our church are going to the same school! Many of our primary kids have gone there. They go from 8:30-11:45 every morning. They play, sing songs, have chapel time, Bible stories, library time and tons of other cool activities. I'm so excited for him!
Hayden was such a big boy! He hardly blinked an eye when I left! Stinker. I was *almost* jealous of the other moms with children that clung and cried! Almost.
Last night before bed, working on his very first homework assignment.
(Just like his mom...putting it off till Sunday night)

The mandatory first day of school picture

I couldn't decide which face I like better, so you get to stare at both :)

Walking in to school, very proud of his poster

Finding his picture and hanging his backpack up.

Sitting down at his table wondering why I'm still here...
I have to admit, I got a little teary eyed as I walked down the hallway leaving my little stink bug at school for the very first time.
Then I got home, put Dallin down for his morning nap and actually did a giddy little dance in my living room, thankful nobody was around to see me :)
