For one reason or another, Mike didn't get the job he was offered at Mercedes...just thought I'd keep everyone in our dark, miserable loop.

I'm so sorry Rebecca. My luck stinks like yours. Has Mike tried applying for a federal job? Go to www.usajobs.gov and you can apply anywhere in the nation. Sometimes it takes a while to get through the process, but what the heck. You won't know until you tried. I have been told they are hiring like crazy due to a lot of baby boomers starting to retire and that the next several years will be the time to get in.
I am TRULY sorry to hear that. I went into BJ's this week, they are hiring. It's never obnoxiously busy like Costco. I rather enjoy BJ's. Just a thought!
