the TERRIBLE THREES??? Is it because they are just too horrid to even mention? Like the utter mention of them will cast you into the depths of hell? Must be - because NOBODY warned me that three was this bad! And he's not even 3 yet!
Yesterday during Hayden's "nap" he managed to:
*Break his piggy pank
*Put all the coins from said piggy bank into his cd player
*Bust down the baby gate
*Open the dishwasher to climb up on top of the counter and eat the remaining Easter Candy
*Climb up onto the loft where my food storage is and get into granola bars
*Open his new vitamins - YES...he opened the child proof cap! Thankfully he couldn't get through the protective seal.
It's a good thing he's cute!
***EDITED TO ADD: It was nap time so Mike and I were upstairs trying to catch some Zzzzs before having to work that night***

If we ( Moms who have been through it all) warned young Moms about every stage and some of the stuff you have to deal with, it wouldn't be as amusing to stand back and watch all the fun unfold ! ( and thank our lucky stars are kids are already raised)LOL
AND where were you when all this mischief was going on ???
See, Mom always gets blamed for everything !
I dunno...it was NAP TIME! Maybe I was taking a nap ♥
I have heard that they don't tell you about terrible threes because then you wouldn't have anything to look forward to from two.
At least that was all stuff at home that saved you from humiliation. Kaden has broken a yankee candle at Kohls this past month AND a snow globe at the Disney outlet store yesterday in St. Augustine. 3's are hard, I am with you all the way!
Hm. I had never heard about the terrible threes either. But you say he is not three yet? Doesn't that still fall under the terrible TWOS?
I agree, he's still in twos, so you cant expect three privileges yet. ;-) It seems that with boys its a littler longer after they turn three, and in my experience three was almost worse than two! good luck! five was an awesome age. hang in there!--also LOTs of DAD time at this age helps
I wanted to comment about the 3's. I am in the middle of the 3's like nobody's business...and they're hard! They can talk back, make bigger messes, and just wear you out more! But there are also glorious blessings when they're three...like his I am a Child of God song. Three is when they really put their arms around you and give you a big hug. Three is when they say "I love you, too Mom". Three is when they're much more independent. Three is when they learn to write their name. Three is a journey all on it's own and yes, I do agree it's much harder than 2, probably because you expect it to be better, but it's not. But three is not so bad...you could have a sassy 20 month old daughter who can't talk but still manages to tell everyone off!
Oh, I never told you the Terrible Threes started early? Sure I did...
Hmm, well, Hey Rebecca. The Terrible Threes are horrendous and start a bit early. There, I'm covered.
Sounds like he had a fun time though :)
