The long-awaited day has finally arrived

This may, in fact, be the most important blog post in history. In fact, the sacredness of this entry may prevent future blogging all together - for what could compare with today?

In fact...a moment of silence before continuing, please.

For six long years I have prayed long and hard for this day to come. A day that I will surely never forget. A day that I am grateful I was able to share with my son and close friends. A day that I regret I was not able to share with my dear husband. You see...six years ago, I moved to Florida...leaving behind Colorado's beautiful mountains, crisp autumn air, family and some of the best friends a girl could ever ask for...but I moved from the west anyway - unbeknownst to me...there was not a Chipotle to be found for miles and miles. No cilantro lime rice...no delicious corn salsa...no yummy fresh chicken and black beans...just the yucky substitute called Moe's. So...without further ado - I present to you, the most exciting day in the history of Jacksonville, Florida.

Waiting (somewhat) patiently in line
Note how the line is wrapped around the corner
They even gave the kiddos little mini burrito toys!!
Ah - Finally! (Note the napkin...it contains important burrito consuming instructions)
The first bite...
Post-burrito-euphoria.

One may ask: "Why build a Chipotle when you have a Moe's here?" *GASP* Because THAT, my friend, would be like asking, "Why build a Bloomingdale's when you already have a Sears?"

Yes - it's that big of a deal.

Yes, this was a big day in history for Jacksonville! It's on my blog too! Are we so stuffed and content or what! Were they pretty quick getting you through the line?
Now we await the Town Center Chipotle opening!
I am glad there is another Chipotle lover around.

Oh, and I went to Chipotle last week.... I got the three soft tacos. YUM. But it's so non-chelant for me now, I didn't even finish the last one. :) And to think, next week we can go together!! You'll have your two most favorite things. Chipotle and Kelly. :)
Love you.

So glad I could share in the happiest day of your life. Post-Burrito Euphoria, how clever ;)

It's a shame we'll have to actually pay for them next time. Town Center, here we come!

I am so happy for you! Ok, I'm a bit jealous because Utah hasn't gotten on board with Chipotle yet but I am glad that someone else can enjoy the yummy-ness! I loved your last picture by the way, it made me laugh out loud! :)

Wow, we have one right around the corner from us and I've never tried it! I feel really bad for taking the place for granted now!

I haven't been there yet but I LOVE Mexican food so I'm sure I will love it! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Cafe Rio out in Utah if you've ever been there. Hopefully they are similar because I miss that place so much!

LOL! I'm happy for you but still so sad for myself... in Northwest Arkansas there is no Chipotle either! We've been known to pack them on ice while traveling just to have it later when ya can't buy one.
love ya!

You know Chipotle is owned by McDonald's right? So its bound to be everywhere eventually.

There is one in Sugarhouse (salt lake) that opened recently. We went there a few weeks ago and it was yummy.

Tell us what you order Becca. What is your favorite (I mean, obviously the burrito, but what do you put in it?)
