Baby Shower for Timalee

My sweet friend, Timalee, just had a baby on June 3rd at only 30 weeks gestation. The baby is doing remarkably well and is expected to come home in just a couple of weeks! Last night was her baby shower. I put a lot of effort into it and I am extremely pleased with how it turned out! I had lots of help because so many people just love her!

To My Sweetheart

To my Dearest Rebecca, We just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary and there have been good times and bad times through these 7 years. We have brought two beautiful boys into this world and heavenly father has entrusted us to raise them. From the very first time I saw your beautiful smile that night in Colorado, I new heavenly father had a part in bringing you to me. I feel so blessed that he saved you for me. I know we have fallen on some hard times lately and for that I'm sorry. I know I haven't done my best to be the person you envisioned me to be, but I'm working on it. I just wanted to let you know that I love you, I cherish you, I look forward to the years ahead. I bear you my testimony that God lives, Jesus Christ is our savior. If we strive to keep Jesus at the center of our lives, he will be there to help us in times of need. I testify that the priesthood is real and I will do my best to always be worthy so you have it in your life and in our home. I hope I don't embarrass you by posting this, but I needed to.

Your Husband, Mike

Simply beautiful

One of Mike's childhood friends got married a few weeks ago in the Salt Lake Temple and we were fortunate enough to celebrate with them at their lovely reception they held in Jacksonville.

Beautiful couple! Check out the rest of her AMAZING pictures HERE.
Mike and me...we're starting P90X like NOW.
And here we have Heidi and her adorable daughter Chloe
At the risk of sound like a star struck groupie...this girl is one of my favorite people EVER. What's funny, is she had already moved away and gotten married by the time I moved to Florida, but I find myself just drawn to her. She is so organized, ultra talented and such an incredible mom! She has these cute little parties and puts her heart and soul into everything she does. She cares deeply for her family and cherishes her friends. Ever time she blogs my head spins with ideas! This girl is SUCH an inspiration to me!

Heidi's mother, Vicki, made these precious dresses for the wedding! It's no wonder where she gets it!
Oh Landon. Landon Landon Landon. Before Mike and I got married, this kid was just an itty bitty thing, making lots of mischief and keeping his mom on her toes.
Nearly seven years later...he hasn't changed a bit!
Check out his collection of crickets in the favor bag...I nearly died!

Just cute

I always try to come up with some catchy title, but what can you possible title this? There is just too much cuteness to wrap up in a few witty little words!

Do you have any idea how difficult it is to get two kids on separate swings to be in the same spot in a picture? It's not easy...but it was worth it!

Just threw up a little bit in my mouth

This is a picture of my sister not even 48 hours after having the baby. She got all dressed up for the placement and left the hospital looking like a rock star!
More pictures to come...

I'm an auntie!

My cute sister just had her baby yesterday at 3:37pm weighing only 4lbs 5oz and 16in long! I'm on my way to Utah in 13 minutes to meet this little one! She will be placed for adoption tomorrow (Sunday) with the most amazing family and I am so excited to meet them!

I crafted!

For my lovely friends who don't read my craft blog, shame on you you should go check it out!

My dining room chairs were absolutely pitiful. They were this awful tone on tone white fabric, and I have two kids. You can imagine how incredibly filthy they were! Well...I was inspired by the
chair face lift I posted awhile back...

(Don't mind the shorts in the background. Hubs took the picture and apparently doesn't care if my dirty laundry is shown all over blogland...sigh)

Also...don't mind the craptastic pictures. I have a crappy camera.

After:

MUCH better, eh? We're going to paint an accent wall downstairs that lovely bright green color. I'm way excited!

Monkey Bug

Four years ago, at this exact moment I was lying on a table in an operating room delivering my sweet baby, Hayden, via c-section. As I kissed him goodnight for the 1,461st time a couple of hours ago, I stood there staring at this little person who can make me cry, make me laugh, make me smile or drive me mad* like nobody else. He has the EXACT same personality as I do, and if you know me at all, then you know that means that he and I butt heads. A LOT. He is curious, lovable, stubborn, determined and passionate. He's my little stinky man and I just adore him!
Since his birthday fell on Memorial Day and lots of his friends would be spending time with their own families, we decided to have his big friend birthday party last Saturday, the 22nd.

We had a bug party, complete with buggy cupcakes
Swinging with friends in Grandma's back yard
Kelsey, Erin and Sara Sousa grubbing on carrots, celery, apples, and grapes
All set for our bug hunt!
Crashed on the way home
Today, his actual birthday, we had a small get together with Grandma, Papa, Nana, Bobby and Daniel. We had tacos, watermelon, cake and ice cream. It was simple and perfect!

Just had to throw in a picture of my little munch! (Short for munchkin)
Time for presents! Now...Hayden CLEANED UP at his birthday party, so he didn't really have much to open today. Hayden excitedly took his present from Grandma and Papa and opened it up to discover a shiny new bike helmet! He was thrilled to pieces, until he realized he didn't have a bike. It was kind of pitiful, actually. His little shoulders fell and he simply said, "I don't have a bike".

Check out this face. I actually got this picture about two seconds after he saw his brand new shiny bike, so it was even MORE excited than this!

Trying it out at the park

Happy birthday, Hayden! I love you bunches!

*Yes, I realize I am totally cheesy, stealing lyrics from Kenny Chesney...you'll just have to deal.
